AKSU secures NUC approval for 16 new undergraduate programmes

Akwa Ibom State University (AKSU) has received approval from the National Universities Commission (NUC) to introduce 16 new undergraduate programmes, effective from the 2025/2026 academic session.

The approval was announced in a press release issued by the university, informing prospective candidates and the general public of the newly accredited disciplines now available for admission.

The approved programmes are:

1. Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm. D)

2. B.A. Music

3. B.Sc. Architecture

4. B.Sc. Urban and Regional Planning

5. B.Sc. Estate Management

6. B.Sc. Surveying and Geoinformatics

7. B.Sc. Building

8. B.Sc. Quantity Surveying

9. B.Sc. Fine and Applied Arts

10. B.Sc. Local Government and Development Studies

11. B.Sc. Project Management

12. B.Sc. Peace and Conflict Resolution

13. B.Ed. Guidance and Counselling

14. B.Eng. Automotive Engineering

15. B.Eng. Computer Engineering

16. B.Eng. Telecommunications Engineering

According to the release, applications are now open for admission into the listed programmes, while further details on requirements and application procedures will be communicated through the university’s official channels.
