The Management of the Akwa Ibom State University (AKSU) hereby notifies the general public that the National Universities Commission (NUC), in a letter dated 13th February 2026, has granted approval for the commencement of Full-Time Doctor of Pharmacy and undergraduate degree programmes as listed below, with effect from the 2025/2026 Academic Session:

6.Project Management (B. Sc.)
7.Urban and Regional Planning (B. Sc.)
8.Estate Management (B. Sc.)
9.Local Government and Development Studies
10.Peace and Conflict Resolution (B. Sc.)
11.Fine and Applied Arts (B. Sc.)
12.Music (B.A.)
13.Guidance and Counselling (B. Ed.)
14.Computer Engineering (B. Eng.)
15.Automotive Engineering (B. Eng.)
16.Telecommunications Engineering (B. Eng.)
Consequently, online applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the programmes listed above.
Eligibility Requirements
Only UTME candidates who selected Akwa Ibom State University (AKSU) as their First Choice Institution and obtained a minimum score of 265 are eligible for admission into the Doctor of Pharmacy and Architecture degree programmes.
Admission into the other programmes listed above requires a minimum UTME score of 250.
Candidates who wish to study any of these programmes at AKSU but did not initially select the University as their First Choice Institution are strongly advised to effect a Change of Institution to AKSU through the JAMB portal, immediately.
Online Registration
The University portal will be open for online registration on Thursday, 19th February 2026. Interested candidates are advised to complete their registration promptly. Please note that only candidates who successfully complete the online registration process will be considered for admission into the Akwa Ibom State University.

Registration Procedure
Candidates are required to register online for the screening exercise following the procedure below:
1.Visit https://www.aksu.edu.ng/app
2.Click on “START NOW”
3.Click on “Enrol”
4.Click on PUTME
5.Enter your JAMB Registration Number
6.Click the arrow below to Verify and Continue
7.Proceed to make payment of ₦2,000.00 only as registration fee (excluding bank charges)
Note: Payment can be made via Debit Card or Transfer, then continue with the registration.
8.Upload the scanned copies of your documents (2025 UTME Result Slip, Birth Certificate, Certificate of Origin) in .jpg format with a minimum size of 120KB and maximum size of 150KB.
9.Preview the details entered to ensure accuracy.
10.After confirmation, click the “Finish” button to generate the Registration Confirmation Slip.
