The Nigerian Law School, under the Council of Legal Education, has officially released the academic calendar for the 2025/2026 Bar Part II programme across its Abuja, Lagos, Enugu, Kano, Yola, Yenagoa and Port Harcourt campuses.
According to the schedule, activities for the First Term will begin with registration, induction and mock trials from Monday, 2 March to Friday, 13 March 2026, while lectures are set to commence on Monday, 16 March 2026. The First Term BOB Dinner will hold between Tuesday, 21 April and Thursday, 23 April 2026, followed by the Director-General’s address on Tuesday, 14 April 2026. Lectures are expected to end on Thursday, 14 May 2026, the same day slated for the pre-externship workshop.
The Second Term will feature court externship from Monday, 18 May to Friday, 19 June 2026, followed by a mid-externship break and a chambers externship scheduled from Monday, 29 June to Friday, 31 July 2026. Post-externship vacation will run from Monday, 3 August to Friday, 7 August 2026.
For the Third Term, portfolio assessment is scheduled from Monday, 10 August to Friday, 21 August 2026, while lectures will hold from Monday, 31 August to Friday, 9 October 2026. Other activities include mock registry practice, mooting exercises, law clinic activities, SRC Law Week and mock trials. The Third Term BOB Dinner is slated for Tuesday, 13 October to Thursday, 15 October 2026, while the BOB Annual Lecture will take place on Thursday, 22 October 2026.
Revision classes will run from Monday, 26 October to Friday, 30 October 2026, with the Bar Final Examinations scheduled for Saturday, 31 October to Saturday, 7 November 2026. Post-bar examination activities will continue until Friday, 18 December 2026.
The Law School noted that the publication of results and Call to the Bar ceremonies will be announced at a later date.
