Bayero University, Kano (BUK) has issued an important notice to all students regarding the ongoing NELFUND institutional charges refund exercise for the 2024/2025 academic session.
The announcement was made by the Directorate of Public Affairs (Office of the Registrar) through a general circular addressed to all students of the institution.

According to the circular, a total of 4,632 students were initially scheduled to receive refunds at the commencement of the exercise.
Out of this number:
- 3,951 students have successfully received their refunds.
- 681 students are yet to receive their refunds.
The university explained that the delay in refunding the remaining students is due to the following reasons:
- Late or non-submission of payment receipts
- Submission of Tier One (small) account details
- Incorrect bank account details
- Failure of graduated students to submit their statements of results
The university management has advised all affected students to urgently submit the required documents and provide accurate bank account details to enable the processing of their refunds without further delay.
Students are encouraged to act promptly to avoid missing out on the refund exercise.
