The management of the University of Jos (UNIJOS) has issued an urgent security advisory to members of the University community following the prevailing tensions in and around Jos and its environs.
According to a directive from the Vice-Chancellor, all staff, students, and members of the University community are advised to remain vigilant and exercise extra caution in their movements both on and off campus with immediate effect.

The University specifically warned members to avoid coming out very early in the morning as part of precautionary safety measures aimed at protecting lives and property during this period.
Members of the University community are also strongly encouraged to report immediately any sign or suspicion of breach of public peace to the University Security Division through the following emergency contact number:

The University assured the public that its Security Division, in collaboration with other allied security agencies, is actively working to ensure maximum protection of lives and property within and around the institution.
In the statement, the University further encouraged members of the community to remain calm and united, expressing hope and faith during these challenging times.
