The Students’ Union Government (SUG) of SICHST has issued a statement addressing the recent directive requiring the settlement of tuition fees before examinations.
In a message signed by Taslim Abdullahi, P.R.O, on behalf of President Comr. Umar Farouq Rabilu, the union acknowledged the concerns and pressure the policy may cause among students. The SUG assured the student body that it stands firmly in protecting their mandate and representing their collective interests.
According to the statement, the union is already engaging with the appropriate authorities to ensure that students’ welfare, fairness, and understanding remain a priority.
“We are with you and we remain committed to advocating for solutions that will be considerate and beneficial to all,” the statement read.
Students have been urged to stay calm, united, and focused as the union works to address the situation.
