The Students’ Union of the University of Uyo has announced that complaints over high Computer-Based Test (CBT) registration charges have been forwarded to the appropriate university authorities for review.
In a press statement released on March 1, 2026, the Directorate of Information and Public Relations of the Students’ Union acknowledged growing concerns among students regarding the cost of CBT course registration. The union assured students that the matter is currently receiving attention and that necessary action is expected.
The Students’ Union also clarified that students awaiting disbursement from the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) for the 2025/2026 academic session are permitted to register their CBT courses even if they have not yet paid their school fees. Affected students were advised to complete their registration promptly to avoid any issues with the ongoing first semester examinations.
According to the union, the clarification follows earlier approval by the Acting Vice Chancellor allowing students who applied for the loan scheme to participate in the first semester examinations scheduled to commence on March 2, 2026.
