Edo State University, a World Class Institution located in Iyamho, Edo State owned by Edo State Government, which upholds quality and excellence in teaching and research, with state-of-the-art facilities by the approval of the State Governor, His Excellency, Senator Monday Okpebholo and Council is desirous of awarding partial scholarships to deserving indigent students of Edo State origin who scored a minimum of 180 in UTME.
The Edo State Government has approved the award of up to 100 indigent scholarships.
The Indigent Students Scholarship Award (ISSA) will be for the duration of any choice programme and covers only tuition fees. This award is part of Edo State University Iyamho’s Corporate Social Responsibility in providing access to quality education in Nigeria. The scholarships cover fields other than Medicine, Nursing, Law, Medical Laboratory Science, and Engineering.
Eligibility
a) Only candidates of Edo State origin are eligible for the Indigent Students Scholarships Award (ISSA)
b) The candidates for the ISSA must have scored not less than 180 in the UTME for 2025/2026 Admission Exercise.
c) The most qualified candidates are required to have high mastery of written and spoken English, determined by a Computer-Based Test (CBT)
d) Candidates of Edo State origin must show evidence of indigency to qualify for the Undergraduate Indigent Students Scholarship Award (ISSA).
e) The candidate must have met the entry requirements for admission into his/her course of study.
