Eligible students are encouraged to submit their applications well before the closing date to avoid disqualification.
Scholarship Categories
- Host/Transit Communities Merit Award – for students from Oando’s host or transit communities in Rivers, Bayelsa, Delta and Imo States.
- National Merit Award – for students from across Nigeria outside the host communities.
Eligibility Requirements
The scheme is open to:
- Registered full-time undergraduates in Nigerian tertiary institutions;
- Certified 100-level students at the time of application.
Not eligible:
- Students in 200 level and above;
- Current beneficiaries of similar scholarships from other companies or agencies;
- Dependants of staff of Oando PLC and its subsidiaries.
Application Process & Documents
Applicants must register and submit scanned copies of required documents, including:
- Passport photograph (white background, recent);
- School ID card;
- O’Level certificate and admission letter;
- Birth certificate and proof of local government area of origin;
- Letter from community leaders (for host community applicants);
- JAMB result, compliance form and other supporting documents.
Selection Procedure
Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an online aptitude test, and applicants must score at least 50% to be considered for the award. Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted for further communication.
