The Senate of Federal University Dutse (FUD) has approved disciplinary sanctions against several students for examination misconduct during the Second Semester of the 2024/2025 Academic Session.
According to the university’s official weekly newsletter, the Senate sanctioned the expulsion of 20 students and the rustication of 15 others after considering the recommendations of the Senate Committee on Examination Misconduct. In addition, two students were exonerated, while three received written warnings.

The decisions were reached in line with the university’s approved categories of offences and corresponding punishments governing both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
The development was disclosed in a statement signed by the Director of Academic Affairs, who noted that the affected students were drawn from different faculties and departments across the institution.
The university reiterated its zero-tolerance stance on examination malpractice and urged students to adhere strictly to academic rules and regulations
