The Faculty of Education, University of Uyo has announced the schedule for the 2025 Batch B Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) induction ceremony. The ceremony is organized for qualified staff and graduating students of the Faculty of Education who are to be inducted into the teaching profession.
According to the notice released by the Faculty Office, the induction ceremony will take place on Tuesday, March 17, 2026 at exactly 11:00 AM.
The induction ceremony will be held at the Onyema Ugochukwu Auditorium, University of Uyo Town Campus, Ikpa Road.
All inductees are expected to follow the procedures outlined by the Faculty of Education before the day of the induction ceremony.
1. Submission of Certificates
Inductees are required to report to the Dean’s Office, Faculty of Education, to deposit the following documents:
- Original Degree Certificate or SSCE Certificate
- Valid Identification Card
The documents must be placed in an envelope clearly labeled with the student’s personal data and the contents of the envelope. Inductees must also sign the required documentation before collecting their academic gown and cap from the Faculty Officer.
Collection of the academic gown and cap will take place on Thursday and Friday, March 12 and 13, 2026 and also on Monday, March 16, 2026.
2. Participation in the Procession
All inductees are expected to report for the ceremony on Tuesday, March 17, 2026 and join the official procession from the Faculty of Education to the venue of the induction ceremony.
3. Return of Academic Gown and Cap
After the ceremony, all inductees must return the academic gown and cap to the Faculty Office immediately after the event but not later than Thursday, March 19, 2026.
The Faculty management emphasized that failure to return the academic gown and cap within the stipulated time will attract a penalty of ₦2,000 for each extra day the items are kept.
The Faculty congratulated all the inductees and urged them to comply strictly with the instructions provided.
