The University Management at its meeting held on Tuesday 24th February, 2026 approved the conduct of the rescheduled 14th Matriculation Ceremony of the University for Wednesday, 11th March, 2026.
The Matriculation Ceremony will involve:

(1) All Freshmen (100 level students) admitted into the University for the 2025/2026 Academic Session
(2) All transferred students into the University for the 2025/2026 Academic Session
(3) All cases of students who deferred admission in 2024/2025 session without matriculation.
To this end, the Vice-Chancellor has directed that all staff involved in the registration exercise should note that Matriculation marks the end of the registration exercise and should therefore facilitate or hasten to register all qualified freshmen who have paid their basic fees and issue them with Matriculation numbers.
All registered students are however, to note that while they may be allowed to obtain their matriculation numbers without payment of all approved fees, their writing the Examinations would depend on the payment of all approved ancillary fees in the University.
Therefore, all first year students are hereby enjoined to hasten and complete their registration exercise and obtain their matriculation numbers before the matriculation day; as those who fail to do so would automatically forfeit the admission.
Please accept my best wishes on the forthcoming matriculation exercise.
Thanks.
