The Students’ Union Government (SUG) of Abdullahi Fodio University of Science and Technology, Aliero (AFUSTA), has announced the commencement of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) screening exercise for the 2024/2025 academic session.
According to a press release issued by the SUG leadership, the screening exercise is strictly for graduated students who applied for the NELFUND loan. The exercise is aimed at enabling eligible graduates to receive refunds attached to the loan scheme.
The Union emphasized that returning students and spillover students are not eligible for this screening, as their approved loans are specifically designated for the payment of school fees.
The screening exercise is scheduled to commence on Tuesday, January 28, 2026, and will be conducted through both physical and online means. Further guidelines and procedures will be communicated to concerned students through official channels.
For the physical screening, the venue has been fixed at the Faculty of Agriculture, SUG Office, within the university’s main campus.
