Akwa Poly notice to students on change in school fees payment platform

Students of the Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic, Ikot Osurua, have been directed to stop using the Tenece platform for school fee payments with immediate effect.

In a circular issued by the Office of the Registrar on Monday, 9th March 2026, the institution announced the discontinuation of the Tenece payment platform. The directive, which takes effect immediately, requires all students to instead channel their payments through the Bursary Unit via AkwaRemit.

According to the circular signed by Deputy Registrar (Establishments), Michael D. Etim, the change is effective as of today. Students have been urged to give the notice the widest publicity and comply strictly with the new payment process.

The circular did not specify the reason for the sudden switch from the Tenece platform.
