The Federal University of Technology, Babura (FUTB), has officially informed all newly admitted students of the 2025/2026 academic session that the upcoming Matriculation Ceremony is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, 24th March 2026.
In an internal circular released by the Office of the Registrar on 10th March, the institution outlined compulsory procedures for all 100 Level and Direct Entry students regarding the collection of academic gowns and participation in the event.
According to the circular signed by the Ag. Academic Secretary, Mohammed Bashir Tahir, students are required to pay a non-refundable fee of ₦1,000 at the Bursary Cash Office before collecting their gowns. The collection of gowns will begin on Monday, 23rd March 2026, at the Academic Office.
The university emphasized that attendance is compulsory for all new students, warning that failure to participate will result in disqualification from writing the First Semester Examinations.
Students are also required to complete the necessary release and oath forms and return them along with the gowns immediately after the ceremony. The institution warned that late return would attract a penalty, and any loss or damage to the gown would result in the student being charged the full cost.
