Bayelsa Medical University (BMU) has issued an important warning to its community over the circulation of fake Facebook pages and sponsored ads falsely claiming to release the BMU 2025/2026 admission lists and sell “supplementary forms.”
According to the University, these pages unlawfully use BMU’s name and logo to deceive unsuspecting applicants. The institution has emphasized that the sources behind these posts are not affiliated with Bayelsa Medical University.
In the alert, BMU clarified that:
The University does not announce admissions through random phone numbers or unofficial pages.
BMU does not sell any forms via personal Facebook accounts, WhatsApp lines, or other informal platforms.
All legitimate updates are released only through BMU’s verified communication channels.
Students and the general public are therefore urged not to engage, not to call, and not to make any payments to such pages. Instead, BMU encourages individuals to report any suspicious page or advertisement and help share the message to prevent others from falling victim.
