BUK extends hostel closure date

The Deanery of Student Affairs, Bayero University, Kano (BUK), has officially announced that examinations for the 2024/2025 Academic Session will conclude on March 10, 2026.

According to the official statement signed by the Dean of Student Affairs, Prof. Mukhtar Ridwanu Bunza, the hostel closure date has been extended by two weeks following a decision by the Deanery of Students.

Consequently, all students residing in the university hostels are expected to complete their activities and vacate the hostels on or before March 24, 2026.

However, students participating in SIWES/Industrial Training, Teaching Practice, Student Work Experience Program, or other approved academic components are advised to visit the Deanery of Student Affairs for reapplication and/or registration.

Affected students must obtain a clearance letter from their respective Heads of Department before they can be considered for bed space allocation.

The notice was issued under reference number BUK/SA/VC/007 and signed by the Dean.
