The Students’ Union Government (SUG) of Bayero University, Kano has issued a clarification regarding the upcoming Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) training exercise for Presiding Officers and Assistant Presiding Officers.
In a statement released by the Office of the Public Relations Officer, the SUG explained that there will be no separate publication of a selected list for the training. According to the union, all students who have duly submitted their clearance are expected to attend the training, as attendance will serve as the basis for subsequent shortlisting.
The training is scheduled to hold from Friday, 13th to Sunday, 15th February 2026, at the Annex of Yusuf Maitama Sule Federal University of Education (formerly FCE Kano). Activities will commence daily at 8:00 a.m.
The SUG further emphasized that all concerned participants must be seated before the commencement time, as punctuality will be strictly observed throughout the training period.
The clarification was signed by Comrade Inyasi Hamza, Public Relations Officer of SUG-BUK, on behalf of the SUG President.
