FUDUTSE gets NUC accreditation for 26 programmes

The National Universities Commission (NUC) has approved 26 new academic programmes for the Federal University Dutse with effect from 2025/2026 Academic Session.

The approval was contained in a letter signed by the Acting Director of Academic Planning of the Commission, Abubakar Girei and addressed to the Vice-Chancellor Chancellor, Professor Abdulkarim Sabo Mohammed.

It would be recalled that the NUC verification teams for the various programmes were at the University to verify the human and material resources available for the establishment of the programmes some few months ago.

The newly approved programmes are as follows:

1. B.Sc Food Science and Technology

2. B.A. Arabic

3. B.Sc Industrial Chemistry

4. B.Sc Industrial Mathematics

5. Ph.D Chemistry

6. Ph.D Mathematics

7. PGD, M.Sc and Ph.D Fisheries and Acquaculture

8. MFA, Master Fisheries and Acquaculture

9. PGD, M.Sc and Ph.D Environmental Management and Toxicology

10. PGD, M.Sc, Ph.D Human Anatomy

11. PGD, M.Sc, Ph.D Human Physiology

12. PGD, M.Sc, Ph.D Soil Science

13. Ph.D Crop Science

14. Ph.D Animal Science

15. Ph.D Animal Production

16. PGD, M.Sc, Ph.D Management

17. MBA, Masters in Business Administration

18. PGD, M.Sc, Ph.D Taxation

19. Masters in Taxation and Fiscal Policy

20. Ph.D English

21. PGD Civil Society in Development (PGDCSD)

22. Master of Civil Society in Development (MCSD)

23. Ph.D Political Science

24.Ph. D Criminology and Security Studies

25. Masters in Criminal Justice and Security Administration

26. PGD, M.Sc and Ph.D Biochemistry

The VC thanked the NUC for the approval to mount the programmes while congratulating the Directorate of Academic Planning and Quality Assurance and the various departments for a job well done.

He called on them to maintain the high standard set by the University in running the new programmes.
