The Office of the Registrar at the Federal University of Lafia (FUL) has announced a special extension for course registration for the 2024/2025 academic session. This development follows a formal approval granted by the Vice-Chancellor.
According to an internal memorandum signed by the Registrar, Dr. Nuradeen Abdul, the extension is targeted at two categories of students:
1. Those who have already paid their fees and written their examinations (first or second semester) but have not yet registered their courses.
2. All students currently on SiWES (Students Industrial Work Experience Scheme) and Teaching Practice for the 2024/2025 session who have paid their fees but are yet to complete their course registration.
The university’s Directorate of Management Information Systems (MIS) has been instructed to reopen the registration portal exclusively for these affected students. The registration window is set to run from Thursday, 9th January 2026, to Friday, 16th January 2026.
The memo, addressed to the Students’ Union Government (SUG) President, emphasized that this measure is to enable the timely processing of the affected students’ results. It urged the student body to take note and undertake the necessary actions within the stipulated period.
This intervention is expected to regularize the academic records of eligible students and ensure the seamless progression of their academic programmes.
