The Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun (FUPRE), is delighted to announce and warmly welcome all newly admitted students to the 2025 Orientation Programme, scheduled to take place from Tuesday, December 16th to Thursday, December 18th, 2025.
This three-day orientation is a fundamental part of the FUPRE experience, carefully designed to support fresh students as they transition into university life. Throughout the programme, participants will be introduced to the University’s vision, academic structure, cultural values, and expectations. New students will gain a clear understanding of FUPRE’s academic policies, examination guidelines, grading system, and available learning resources to help them thrive from the very beginning.
In addition to academic guidance, the orientation will feature interactive sessions with major support units on campus, including the Health Services Unit, the Library, the Student Affairs Division, the Center for Safety Education, the ICT Unit, and the Counseling & Career Development Centre. Students will learn how to access essential services such as accommodation information, course registration procedures, medical care, online portals, library usage, and campus navigation.
The programme will also provide a unique opportunity for freshers to meet with faculty members, department heads, student leaders, and administrative staff. These interactions are aimed at helping new students build relationships, ask questions, and better understand the support systems available to them. Social and group activities will also be included to encourage bonding and create a sense of community among fellow freshmen.
