The Student Representative Council (SRC) of Gombe State University has officially addressed recent incidents of fraudulent activities affecting newly admitted students.
In a statement released by the Council, Amb. Abubakar Aminu Muhammad (Alaa), the SRC President, has been fully briefed on the matter and expressed concern over the unfortunate events affecting some freshers.

According to the statement signed by the Public Relations Officer, Babangida Alhaji Jingi (Malala), the SRC leadership has already launched a comprehensive investigation to identify those responsible for the scam.
“The SRC leadership has commenced a thorough investigation into the matter, and all necessary steps are being taken to identify the individual(s) responsible,” the statement read.
The Council assured students that updates would be provided as soon as concrete findings are established. Additionally, affected students were promised that any funds lost to the fraudulent activity would be refunded once the perpetrator(s) are identified and apprehended.
“The SRC remains committed to protecting the welfare and interests of all students and ensuring that justice is served,” the statement added.
The development serves as a reminder for students to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the appropriate authorities.
