NSUK announces 58th inaugural lecture

Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK) has announced the hosting of its 58th Inaugural Lecture, an important academic event aimed at promoting intellectual discussion and scholarly contributions within the university community and beyond.

The invitation was extended by the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Professor Sa’adatu Hassan Liman, a distinguished scholar and fellow of UNESCO, ACLS, FIIFF, and CBER. The Vice-Chancellor warmly invites members of the academic community, students, researchers, policymakers, and the general public to attend the event.

The inaugural lecture will be delivered by Professor Andrew Zamani, C.Psych, FNPA, FNACP, FAPPN, a respected Professor of Clinical Psychology. Professor Zamani is expected to share valuable insights drawn from his academic research and professional experience.

The lecture is titled:

“The Fractured African Psyche and the Burden of Leadership: Challenges and Prospects for Sustainable Development”

The lecture will critically examine the psychological dimensions of leadership within the African context. It will explore how historical experiences, social structures, and governance challenges have influenced the African psyche and leadership culture. Furthermore, the presentation will highlight possible solutions and strategies for overcoming these challenges in order to achieve sustainable development across the continent.

Inaugural lectures at Nasarawa State University serve as a platform for professors to formally present their research contributions, academic experiences, and insights to the university community and the wider public. The event also encourages academic engagement, knowledge sharing, and intellectual development.
