The Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU) Students’ Union Government has officially announced the date for the inauguration of its newly elected Central Executive Council and Principal Officers of the Students’ House of Senate.
In a press release issued on March 1, 2026, by the Electoral Committee, the ceremony is scheduled to take place on Friday, 6th March 2026, at the A.A Hall, opposite Access Bank, Ago-Iwoye campus, commencing promptly at 11:00 AM.

According to the statement signed by the ECO Chairman, Hon. Majekodunmi Ifeoluwa, and the General Secretary, Babayemi Silas Darasimi, the event represents a significant milestone in the democratic process of the institution.
“The inauguration marks a significant milestone in the democratic and leadership process of the Students’ Union Government, symbolizing continuity, responsibility, and renewed commitment to the welfare, representation, and progressive development of the entire student body,” the statement read.
The Electoral Committee emphasized that the occasion reflects the collective dedication to structured student leadership, participatory governance, and the peaceful transition of authority within the academic community.
All students have been warmly invited to attend the historic event, as their presence is expected to strengthen student unity and encourage the newly elected leaders to discharge their duties with integrity and dedication to service.
