Saa’adu Zungur University SRC notice to students on the use of ID Cards

The Students’ Representative Council (SRC) of Saa’adu Zungur University, Bauchi State, has issued a crucial advisory to all students, emphasizing the mandatory possession of their School Identification (ID) Cards at all times.

In a notice released on Friday, the council stressed the importance of the ID card as a primary means of verification, both on and off campus. The notice highlighted that the card is essential not only within the academic environment but also in emergencies, security checks, or any unforeseen incidents where proving student status is necessary.

The SRC warned that failure to present a valid ID card when requested by a lecturer or any authorized personnel could lead to the assumption that the individual lacks proof of bona fide studentship.

“Students are therefore strongly encouraged to take this matter seriously and make it a habit to move with their ID cards at all times,” the notice read.

The council also advised students who have not yet obtained their ID cards to do so immediately upon returning to campus. The notice was signed off with the slogan, “SRC CARES !!!”

The directive aims to enhance security and streamline identification processes across the university community.
