The Student Affairs Division of Taraba State University, Jalingo, has issued a critical notice to all newly admitted students for the 2025/2026 academic session regarding hostel accommodations.
In a public announcement signed by the Dean of Students, Dr. Atando Dauda Agbu, the university instructed students who previously made bed space reservations in the Zenith, Presidential, Teffund 2013, Teffund 2014, and JJT Halls to immediately reprint their updated reservation slips via the university portal. This new slip is mandatory for verification by Hall Officers before any accommodation service will be rendered.

The statement emphasized the urgency of the action, advising students to treat the information “with all seriousness that it deserves.”
A stern warning was also issued concerning payments. The university strictly prohibited all cash payments for hostel accommodation to any individual, whether inside or outside the university premises. It mandated that all related payments must be made exclusively through the official online channels.
The management explicitly stated that it would not be held responsible for any financial losses incurred from cash transactions. Furthermore, it warned that any student found making cash payments or anyone caught receiving cash for hostel spaces would face disciplinary sanctions.
The notice, dated January 10, 2026, is directed at all newly admitted 100-level UTME and 200-level Direct Entry students, as well as parents and the general public, to ensure proper guidance and compliance.
