The management of the University of Calabar (UNICAL) has announced an extension of the 2025/2026 admission exercise following a directive from the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
According to a memo released by the Office of the Registrar on November 4, 2025, the deadline for the admission exercise has been extended to November 17, 2025.
The memo, signed by Dr. (Mrs.) Chukwuka I. Icha, Registrar of the University, stated that all suitable and qualified candidates who scored 150 and above in the 2025 UTME are encouraged to forward their requests for admission into the following programmes:
1. Faculty of Agriculture
2. Faculty of Education
3. Department of Religious and Cultural Studies
4. Department of Modern Languages and Translation Studies
5. Department of Mathematics
6. Department of Statistics
The Registrar further noted that programmes not listed in the memo are not available for admission at this time.
This development aims to give more qualified candidates the opportunity to secure admission into the University of Calabar for the 2025/2026 academic session.
