The Nigerian Universities Engineering Students’ Association (NUESA), University of Uyo (UNIUYO) Chapter, has announced plans to hold its Freshers’ Orientation Programme for newly admitted engineering students.
According to the notice, the orientation is scheduled to take place on Friday, January 23, 2026, by 10:00 a.m. at the ELF Theatre Hall, Faculty of Engineering, Permanent Site, University of Uyo.
The programme is aimed at welcoming fresh engineering students into the faculty and acquainting them with academic expectations, professional ethics, and the activities of NUESA. It will also provide an avenue for interaction between students and faculty leadership.
The President of NUESA, Comrade James Anietie, is expected to address the students, alongside the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Engr. Prof. Orua Okon Antia, who will serve as a key speaker at the event.
NUESA UNIUYO stated that the orientation is part of its commitment to guiding freshers toward a successful academic journey and fostering unity within the engineering community.
All newly admitted engineering students are encouraged to attend punctually.
