NYSC Enforces NERD Clearance Policy for 2025 Batch ‘C’ Mobilization
The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced a new directive mandating compliance with the Nigeria Education Reposition and Databank (NERD) Policy for all corps-producing institutions.
According to a circular dated 7th October 2025, beginning from 2025 Batch ‘C’, only graduates with NERD clearance will be eligible for mobilization. The directive follows the Federal Executive Council’s approval as conveyed by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) through circular Ref. No: 58524/III/579 dated 8th August 2025.
Institutions are instructed to ensure that graduates report to NYSC orientation camps with their NERD clearance slips, which will now be a mandatory requirement for registration at the camp.
The notice, signed by Mrs. R.O. Ideawor, Director of Corps Mobilisation, emphasizes the NYSC’s commitment to aligning mobilization processes with federal education policies.
