The management of Yobe State University (YSU) has officially announced an extension for the 2025/2026 academic session registration exercise. This update was communicated via a general circular signed by the University Registrar, Isa Audu Dallari, on February 2, 2026.
According to the official statement, the university has adjusted the registration timeline to provide students with more time to complete their documentation.

New Registration Timelines
Normal Registration Extension: The extension period for regular registration begins today, Monday, February 2, 2026, and will conclude on Saturday, February 7, 2026.
Late Registration Period: Students who fail to register within the extension period will be moved to the late registration phase. This phase will run from Monday, February 9, to Saturday, February 14, 2026.
Late Registration Penalty: An additional late registration fee of N5,000 will be charged to any student registering during the late window (Feb 9th – 14th).
Important Notice on Closure
The university management has emphasized that the registration portal for the 2025/2026 session will be permanently closed on Saturday, February 14, 2026. After this date, no further registration requests or payments will be entertained.
All returning and fresh students are strongly advised to take advantage of this extension to finalize their registration and avoid the extra costs or the risk of losing their admission for the session.
